Daria is an American Cartoon Show that was a spinoff of Beavis & Butthead a character that was in that cartoon, Daria is about "Daria centered on a smart, overtly sardonic, and extremely pessimistic upper-middle-class teenage girl, Daria Morgendorffer, dealing with day-to-day life in her American suburban town, Lawndale.The series follows Daria through her high school years, ending with her graduation and acceptance into college. Daria and her best friend Jane Lane share their droll observations about their school and life. Though Daria initially has a crush on Jane's brother Trent, who plays guitar in a local rock band, her attraction remains unrequited, as she never reveals this to him." Daria was a show that i loved (really waiting to get the dvd) always every afternoon after school around 5 it would come on i would watch it all the time and not miss a ep. also when there are repeats on these days on ABC/ABC2 i will always try to watch it.
Daria is a show that i really identifed the time i got into the show i was in school and in ways felt like an outcast like Daria so i really got the show. Daria makes this show and she is the focus of the show. she doesn't like the main stream things and makes fun of them things that are mainstream, she is a cool character and is down and so cool. She has sister "Quinn"who is the popular girl in school and always acts as id "Daria" isn't her sister. Then Daria makes friend who is like her and likes the same things as her "Jane" who is a artist and has her Brother "Trent" who Daria has a crush on. You have your normal students and crazy teachers. You have your jocks, chearleaders and such. Just great character which is also make this show.
I like so much about this show from the writing which i think which was from a teenagers mind and what teenagers did and would say and i was a teenager at the time when i first watched it i really did get and it got me. also refrences to pop culture in the show from Daria's mouth which was just cool to hear and it was funny when she made fun of someone using pop culture i really loved the show because of this.
overall this show was just awesome i love and still can watch this day and still get plus lots of memories from this show. Just the characters are so great and are great and are sometimes crazy but i really get and they fit into the show. The music is also another great thing the music was good and fited into the show perfect. just everything i loved about the show. One of my fav eps was when Daria and Jane went on a road trip with Ternt & his band to go to a music Festival and Daria has a bad time which is funny to see Loved It.
13. The Boondocks
The Boondocks is a cartoon and based on a comic. the show is funny as hell. "The BoondocksSouth Side of Chicago, Illinois to the peaceful, fictional suburb of Woodcrest, Maryland (compare Crestwood) find different ways to cope with this acute change in setting as well as the drastically different suburban cultures and lifestyles to which they are exposed. The perspective offered by this mixture of cultures, lifestyles, and races provides for much of the comedy in this series." A show that has some very funny characters, and great names some really good stories in the show with very serious views and very funny and making fun of celbrities, also the theme song is cool. just a funny and great cartoon.
The characters in this show are insanely funny and good, love them because they are so Funny starting with Robert Freeman (the grandfather) who is so funny and he has his 2 gransons living with him. There is Huey & Riley who are the grandsons, Huey is like an activists and stands up for the important things & Hugheyis not that smart he just like to play with guns listen to rap music. My fav Character is Gin Rummy (voiced by Samule L Jackson) he was a solider in Iraq with Ed Wuncler III who are 2 of my fav characters in this show.
Overall this is a great show and so funny and makes fun of certain sterotypes, it a show that really should be watched so funny. My Fav ep from "A Date With The Health Inspector" which is about the x-box killer and is so cool i loved it and the ep that sold me on the show i just loved it.
